The future of Ministry of Sound Club is under threat again! Mayor of London Boris Johnson plans to overturn last year’s decision to save our club and approve plans for property developers to build luxury flats opposite the club. Join the fight and help save our club by clicking here.

Please help in saving this incredible venue. It means so much to so many people and is a vault filled with many millions of good memories for clubbers and music fans alike.
When I was younger, I watched the legendary London Astoria and Hammersmith Palais be pulled down in favour of development and I breaks my heart to see it happen again.  The Astoria epitomised my youth and, whilst I have the fantastic memories of my time there, I hate that I can’t still enjoy it today.  I really hope Ministry of Sound doesn’t meet the same fate because it is a really special place and, as soppy as it sounds, it has contributed to the person I am today.  I have met tons of people there and, without Ministry, I probably wouldn’t have the current circle of friends that I enjoy spending time with now.
If you haven’t been I would highly recommend going there, sooner rather than later. Not sooner because of the threat from the develop of luxury apartments, but because the sooner it is in your life you will understand how special it is to me and so many other people across the world.

Since Katy performed this last week I haven’t been able to stop playing it over and over again.  Oddly enough, I blogged with this very song in mind early on in the year. How things change. This is such a powerful song and says everything about that feeling of watching someone walk out of your life that you never realised you needed until they were gone.

In particular, I think one of Katy’s best talents in songwriting is to express the way most of us feel but don’t know how to articulate.  That’s why I admire her so much.  Every time I hear something from her I think “HOW DOES SHE KNOW HOW I’M FEELING?!” and “THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO SAY AND I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO SAY IT!”.  Brand lame on my forehead but I guess that’s what a musician - fan connection is; an understanding of the same feelings and the ability to relate so easily to each other.  I enjoy having a song to fall back on every time I have a feeling burning inside of me and, with Katy, I have practically one for every occasion.  Thanks, darl.

“What if the one that got away came back?”

Porcelain Black aka Alaina Beaton is a punk rock babe with killer style. She is a rock singer who has collaborated with Courtney Love, Lil’ Wayne and Eminem.
Personally, I love the Cruella hair, the “fuck you” attitude and the sexy pouts.

Massive girl crush.
